Recapping the crypto drama of the last couple weeks… Web3 bears emerged, first there was this…
then this, extremely thoughtful perspective from the founder of Signal. Then Vitalik (ethereum ‘founder’) responded. And Galloway piled on. Finally Packy wrote an interesting defense.
This is all quite fascinating. My assessment is that web3 will be something when something of value is built on it. So far it seems like the web3 tools are, let’s just say.. not as good as alternatives. I also don’t think I buy the claim that ‘the best software engineers are working on web3”. If they are, they are likely wasting their time.
